Taking a shower? Ask EPA to pass the soap..

America's government has a new surveillance program, monitoring you in the shower. Yes, you heard that right. Here's how it works.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) wants hotels to monitor how much time its guests spend in the shower. The agency is spending $15,000 to create a wireless system that will track how much water a hotel guest uses to get them to “modify their behavior.”

The plan as proposed is entirely worthless because they have no way of knowing whether it's really you in that shower that you paid for with the room. It could be a golfing buddy using your shower while you're down in the hotel bar having a drink before heading up to the room for a quick shower yourself. It could even be a group shower as the wife puts all the kids in at the same time. In fact, you and your golfing or bowling buddies can all shower together. After all, the idea of showering together has already been sponsored by a UK energy company.  The article continues:

“The proposed work aims to develop a novel low cost wireless device for monitoring water use from hotel guest room showers,” it said. “This device will be designed to fit most new and existing hotel shower fixtures and will wirelessly transmit hotel guest water usage data to a central hotel accounting system.”

The EPA plan as stated can't possibly work because of the reasons I've stated above..unless.. there's a camera or microchip associated with the wireless (WIFI) device. The device will have a unique IP address at manufacture and will identify water usage just as your smart meter identifies home electric usage  allowing the utility (and government) to know exactly what device you're operating in the home at any given moment. All that's lacking in the EPA plan is an under the skin implantablre microchip in you so they may know who and how many are showering in real time. Expect that to evolve into a minimum shower occupancy requirement just as for certain High Occupancy vehicle lane requirements. And, if that information is transmitted on wireless, it's essentially public domain information because it can be hacked by anyone with sufficient computer knowledge and it's likely your friendly hotel will make shower videos available to anyone who wants it for a fee, except NSA who'll receive it gratus. Fascism knows no boundaries.

Consider shower monitoring a convenience for any US Marshals who with a flip of a badge have access to whose kids are in what room and with no adults present. "Some of the sexual attacks by a US marshall took place in hotel rooms. The victims ranged in age from 11 to 13."

Think EPA's plan is really over the top? You haven't seen anything yet, the abuse possibilities are endless in the new one-world government at best expect to be billed by the gallon of water consumed.  If EPA's hotel shower monitoring proposal flies, expect all new homes to be equipped with shower monitors. The argument will be that 300+ million people need water monitoring far more than a few major hotels.

"The EPA also has a WaterSense program that challenges hotels to track their water use and upgrade their restrooms with low-flow toilets and showerheads. The program also encourages “linen and towel reuse programs” in guest rooms."

Yes, the 1.6 gallon wonder toilet designed by government loonies that requires multiple flushings to accomplish the same results as the original 3 gallon model. It sounds like they have one in the works that uses even less than 1.6 gallons. And why even bother changing the bedding once a month? Think, how much money the hotel could save by washing its linen once a quarter. (Don't expect the room cost to you to be lowered as a result of 'water conservation.')

"The EPA is concerned that the average shower, which lasts just eight minutes, uses 18 gallons of water, and has asked Americans to reduce their shower length by at least one minute. Tyler W. Johannes, Ph.D., an associate professor in the University of Tulsa’s School of Chemical Engineering who is working on the project, told the Washington Free Beacon that the researchers hope to see the technology “adopted by all major hotels and used across the country.”"

The technology already exists to simply turn off the shower without warning. Also, expect to be drinking recycled toilet water as part of the Agenda 21 sustained development program in the near future. Fascism knows no boundaries.

We now have Obamacare, Obamalaw and soon Obamashower. Here are the EPA's specifications on how the general populace is to shower.

“The method requires three steps: 1) turn on water to rinse body and hair; 2) turn off water while shampooing hair and washing body with soap and washcloth; 3) resume water flow and rinse off all shampoo and soap,” the group said. “Using this technique, the total duration of water flow can easily be reduced to 5 minutes or less.”

Anyone had enough yet?
